How to join NEBWG

You join NEBWG by doing one of the following:

The current mission of NEBWG is to facilitate networking with bat biologists and overhead is covered by volunteers. Annual meetings are supported by meeting registration fees and sponsers depending on the venue. There are no annual dues.



NEBWG's role in the North American Bat Conservation Alliance

The North American Bat Conservation Alliance (NABCA) is an informal alliance among federal, state/provincial and local government agencies; regional bat working groups; non-government organizations; industry; individual scientists and biologists and concerned members of the public interested in bat conservation. The role of NABCA is to facilitate coordination and communication among parties interested in bat conservation in North America, to develop and maintain a North American Bat Conservation Strategy, and to develop and promote Action Plans to implement the priorities identified in the Strategy. Who is NEBWG?

Members of NEBWG include many of the leading bat researchers in the Northeast US as well as anyone else with some interest in research, recovery, and education about bats.
